Super heroes, aren’t they awesome. Hi this Karen from Wellness Works NW and today I feel like a super hero! I have been know for wearing super hero shirts and socks because sometimes I just feel like a super hero. When I was a kid I used to make myself a cape out of towels and I would run around with my own theme song. Everyone needs their own theme song!
Sometimes when you’re feeling your best, you have to have your own theme song and it could be Rocky! Just when you know you really need to make it happen, you have a lot going on in your head…my mother used to tell me I was a legend in my own mind (my wife thinks that too…) but that is when you need to have your theme song. We all have things that we are good and I want us to focus on that. Numbers have always been hard for me but I can move.
What do you do well? I love people. I love to get to know people. I love the on-the-spot interaction it takes to get to know someone. I also enjoy encouraging people. Nothing makes me happier than lifting people up. That is my super power.
I want you to email me with your super power. Whatever you tell me will just be between you and me.
If we think about what we are good at and focus on that, we can really lift ourselves up. What do you do? Some people can make things better just by walking into the room. There is something about you that is better than some people. Maybe you are teacher or a great listener. Whatever it is that make you feel like you have that cape on, and if you need music, give me a call and I will sing to you. LOL!
Sometimes you have to focus on our super power just to get through the moment. Just like Rocky, he had so many challenges but Adrian inspired him. He never stopped and tried harder and harder until he succeeded.
Just remember, you do have super powers and focus on them. Do you have a great slider or fast ball? When you write them down it will help you focus on them.
Let’s grab a Stability Ball. These things are wonderful. They are moderately priced and you can do so many things with them. When you first get one it may take a bit to get used to balancing on them but keep working on it. Today I want to show you an Assisted Squat on the S Ball. Use your hands to keep the ball from moving around and then come up, hold it and then come down. This is a great way to work on your ability to do squats. Next I am going to show you an Assisted Table Top. While sitting on the ball, walk your fee forward until your shoulder blades are on the ball then bring your pelvic area up and squeeze your tummy and butt.
You need to be careful when you first get the ball until you get used to it. You might want to do what my Summer did when she first got her ball. Just sitting on the ball lets you work your abs while you are sitting.
Finally I am going to show you crunches on the ball.
You guys are are wonderful and I am so glad you are here. I thank you so much for all that you do I am sending you positive vibes and my super powers and those positive prayers! Thank you!
Call or text me at 360-447-8061 and we can talk about your success! I can’t wait to hear from you!
