As one who lives with several chronic illnesses, and has for the last eleven years, I have been on a long seek and find mission to find wonderful women and men who have lived well despite having an illness with no cure. Chronic Babe creator, Jenni Grover, is one such women whom I have found in mission.
I have been following Jenni Grover’s video series, blog, and her newsletters with offers for classes for the last ten years. I was excited when she finally met her goal of writing a book several years ago. Finally after 3 years I was able to read it. I’m glad I did.
Chronic Babe 101: How to Craft an Incredible Life Beyond Illness is full of great tidbits that give guidance how to live “As Well As Possible” a phrase that Jenni Grover has coined for years. I like this phrase a lot and I will use it when I communicate with my friends who have illnesses of their own.
This year I have been feeling stale. I have been feeling stuck. While reading Grover’s book I felt inspired. I think most people will be inspired by Jenni Grover’s book and get a lot of great insight into living well.
In this book you will find:
- Great homework assignments for your journaling so you can live as well as possible.
- Great interviews with some amazing counselors and others who have chronic illness.
- Great resources to check out for your own research.
- Tips on how to cultivate a practice of self care into your life.
I recommend anyone who is challenged by having a chronic illness to read this book and be inspired like I was.
