To start my new journey towards bariatric surgery I was gifted a Power Quick Pot. It is the same as an insta pot with a few things that are a bit different. The biggest difference is that the Power Quick Pot Quicks at a higher temperature and it is a bit faster than an insta pot.
I made a whole chicken in my Power Quick Pot and it was delicious. It was simple, although the instructions were a bit confusing. I was able to figure out how to work my machine. The chicken only took 30 minutes and I had 2 cups of juices in the pot with the chicken from the ½ cup of liquids that I had added to the pot. I made a yummy sauce for the chicken with the left over juices.
Note: There is a link to a video on how to use the Power Quick Pot listed below…
The 6 quart power quick pot that I have is able to make yogurt, can, roast, saute, make rice, and pressure cook.
The instructions were confusing to use, so you must be willing to figure it out on your own essentially without instructions. The first thing I did when I got my pot was test it and they have you test it in the canning mode.
Anyone who has anxiety or aversions to noises or have pets that have aversions to noises, I will warn you that when you release the valve for the pressure release the steam is noisy and it is loud. You will want to warn your kids to stay away while it is doing this because they could get scalded and you might get scalded so don’t open the lid.
Despite the noise, I see myself using this to can and cook meats and make soup in. I recommend getting a power quick pot for any of those suffering from a chronic illness and their energy levels are small. This does not require a lot of energy from you to use. This will definetly help anyone with their nutritional goals.
