Hi Everyone this is Karen from Wellness Works NW! How you doing! You are getting better and better. right?Sometimes in life all we need is a jumpstart. You are kinda going along and there is all kinds of negativity: you’re watching the news and the next thing you know, you’re asking yourself what you are going to do. That is when you need a jumpstart!
You are going set some goals but first we are going get that jumpstart. Now I am not Pollyanna. I know we have some negative things going on. We have COVID-19, riots in the street…but we also have positive things happening too. We’ve got kids graduating from high school and college. Spring is here. California poppies are coming up! There are all kinds of good stuff happening and we have to learn where to focus our attention. Don’t worry about all the negativity because somebody else is going to focus on that. I want to get you to where you are setting goals and making them happen.
So we have this BODACIOUS goal: I want to 35 lbs lighter in 2 months. Alright! Let’s start! To get started you have to focus on the process. If you are going to do this that means you have to get rid of the ice cream and chocolate cake. We gotta make some changes up in here!
First we are going to start eating better. We can do that by getting rid of the unhealthy items one at a time. It is a process. You have to decide whether you are going to give the potato chips away or just eat them all. Whatever you do it is the process. So pick a date, like June 15th…and make sure that by that date all those things that are holding you back from success are gone from your house so you aren’t tempted.
Whatever your process is just start doing it. When you make that first goal than you can start making new ones like walking the lake. I suggest you get an accountability partner to help you get through these steps. In the end we want to remember our goal is weight loss but I want you to put a system in place to reach your goals. So if you are going to go walking in the morning make sure you put your running shoes out the night before and everything you are going to wear so you can jump out of bed and jump into your clothes and meet your friend at the door. You need a good system because when you put good systems in place that helps you achieve your goals.
Growth is so important. We got out. We were going to do it every day but we only made it 4 days. Don’t beat yourself up! Celebrate those 4 days! Yippee! That is growth. You got out of bed, you’re dressed and you are running around the lake with your friend. When the desire to be negative comes up you just say: No! I am going to focus on positivity because it is part of my process. I have my system and I am working the process. I have some growth!
A person with growth is amazing. When you focus on the growth nothing can stop you. You can celebrate the success you did have this week. Inch by inch anything is a cinch. What you need is a jumpstart!
You can do it! I know you can!
Since I am so excited we are going to do some burpees! When I start moving I always thing about squat because they really helped me get moving. People will fight about squats but today we are going to do a squat jump to do something a little different. Don’t forget the hinge movement!
Set those goals and get into it! Get that process going and let me know how you are doing!
Call or text me at 360-447-8061 and we can talk about your success! I can’t wait to hear from you!
